1. Fiber micro-surfacing technology

The difference between fiber micro-surfacing and regular micro-surfacing is the addition of fiber to the mix. The addition of fiber can effectively improve the colloid properties of asphalt. Due to the adsorption, stabilization and multi-directional reinforcing effects of fibers, the high-temperature stability, low-temperature crack resistance and durability of the slurry mixture can be better improved. It can inhibit and delay the occurrence of reflective cracks to a certain extent and improve the service life of the road.

2. Micro-surface rut repair technology

The micro-surface rapid rutting repair technology is a cold-mix asphalt mixture paving technology with thin layers of varying thicknesses that uses polymer-modified emulsified asphalt as a binder and is constructed with special paving equipment. It has the characteristics of fast construction speed, low cost, fast opening to traffic and good effect. It can quickly restore and improve the smoothness of the original asphalt pavement, and improve the waterproofness and skid resistance.

The cross-section of the rut is generally a concave curve, and its filling thickness is a variable, which requires the aggregate particle size in the mixture to be normally distributed according to the cross-section of the rut. The paver used for micro-surfacing is equipped with a "V"-shaped paving trough. During paving, the aggregates of various particle sizes in the mixed slurry will be normally distributed in the "V"-shaped trough according to the thickness change after stirring. . At the same time, the paver will form a certain reserved camber above the groove during construction, leaving redundancy for the mixture to withstand the traffic load and further compaction.

3. Low noise micro-surfacing technology

As an economical, fast and effective preventive maintenance technology for pavement, micro-surfacing plays a vital role in the rapid development of highways in developing countries. However, this technology has a shortcoming, that is, the driving noise of micro-surface roads is significantly increased compared with ordinary asphalt roads, which greatly affects driving comfort. In densely populated villages and urban areas, the environmental noise caused by driving also restricts the further development of traditional micro-surfacing technology.

In order to meet the requirements of social development for reducing traffic noise and improving driving comfort, low-noise micro-surface treatment technology emerged as the times require.

After years of research, relevant technical personnel have proposed a low-noise micro-surfacing mix design method and system, and developed materials for low-noise micro-surfacing construction. Related indoor low-noise micro-surfacing molding machines and indoor noise detectors have also been developed. The new technology has the same structural depth and good anti-skid performance as traditional micro-surfacing, and can reduce driving noise by 5% to 8% compared with traditional micro-surfacing.
