Hot in-place recycling construction steps (part 1)

Hot in-place recycling is an emerging maintenance technology with the advantages of economy, environmental protection, and strong applicability. Practice has proven that hot-in-place recycling technology is an effective preventive maintenance technology. It is a technology that achieves sustainable development and is worthy of promotion. It will be widely promoted and applied in future highway maintenance.

Construction steps:

(1)Clean the road and draw guide lines

Clean the road surface to prevent debris from being mixed into the mixture, and draw guide lines outside the width of the road regeneration. The road markings can be used as guide lines to ensure that the edge lines of the regeneration construction are straight and beautiful.

(2) Clearance of marking lines

The horizontal oscillating markings are removed and cleaned with a stripper before heating. The lane markings are softened after the third heating machine and can be removed manually with a shovel.

(3) Grooving of pavement

Before the recycling equipment enters the construction section, the road surface needs to be grooved. The grooves have two main purposes: one is to provide a working surface for the heating milling machine, and the other is to make the transverse joints neat and beautiful. The slot is milled using a milling machine, with a width of about 50cm and a depth of about 4cm. The milled waste is cleaned manually, the floating dust is blown away, and hot asphalt is sprayed on the joints to increase the adhesion with the old road surface.
